My husband and I finally made it to Utah in October 2021! We initially had this trip scheduled in April of 2020. It was rescheduled two more times before we made it last fall. We enjoyed Capitol Reef, Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. We spent most of our time near Moab and enjoyed hiking among the beautiful red-rock arches, pinnacles, and fins, and watched fabulous sunsets. My favorite part of the trip was the time we spent in Arches National Park. Another highlight was the Hell’s Revenge sunset jeep tour. If you are ever in Moab, I recommend you give it a try!
If traveling somewhere isn’t for you, plan a staycation. Some of my most relaxing vacations have been staycations! You can work on some projects at home that you have been putting off, go fishing, sleep in, read a book, or just enjoy some down time! It is fun to find new things to do locally.
Taking time away from work is good for many reasons. It creates memories, releases stress, gives your brain a break, refreshes you, provides special time with family and/or friends, allows you to encounter new experiences, or just gives you some time to yourself.
At Mahoney, we see the importance of work/life balance and encourage our team members to take time away from work. This summer, we will be trying something new and will be closing our office on Fridays to give our team the opportunity to have extended weekends. There is nothing better than long weekends during our short but amazing Minnesota summers!
