Marc Kotsonas is Partner at Mahoney and leads the firm’s Not-for-Profit Group. His primary emphasis is managing audits of real estate and not-for-profit organizations. He has over 15 years of experience working with clients in the low income, multi-family real estate, and not-for-profit industries.

Marc is the editor of Mahoney’s monthly not-for-profit e-newsletter which covers trends and issues facing the industry. He has written articles published on the AICPA Insights Blog and in the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Marc graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Business of Administration degree with a major in Accountancy and Spanish and with a minor in General Business.

Fun facts about Marc

Marc won a Jeep Wrangler in a radio contest, which he drove for 20 years. He then won $2,000 the following year at Mystic Lake Casino, which he used to pay the taxes he owed on the 1099 he was issued for winning the Jeep! Marc has also run the Twin Cities Marathon four times.
